We handle personal data in accordance with applicable data-protection and privacy requirements. Where the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (“UAE PDPL”) applies to our processing, we process personal data in accordance with its applicable requirements. We will also comply with any other data-protection requirements that apply to our activities or to the Masdar City Free Zone.

2. What information we collect

We collect only the information reasonably required for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice.

Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

Information you provide directly

When you contact us, submit an inquiry or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect:

  • name;
  • business email address;
  • telephone number;
  • organization and job title;
  • country or location;
  • information about your inquiry or potential project;
  • correspondence and communications with us; and
  • any other information you choose to provide.

We encourage you not to provide sensitive personal information through the website unless it is necessary and specifically requested.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, certain technical information may be collected automatically, depending on the website configuration and cookies or similar technologies in use. This may include:

  • IP address;
  • browser and device information;
  • operating system;
  • pages visited;
  • approximate location derived from technical information;
  • referring website;
  • timestamps and interaction information; and
  • information relating to website performance and security.

We will only describe and use analytics, advertising or other non-essential technologies that are actually deployed on the website.

3. How we use personal information

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to inquiries and requests;
  • communicate with prospective and existing clients;
  • understand and assess potential project requirements;
  • prepare proposals or respond to requests for services;
  • deliver and administer our services where an engagement is established;

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

4. Lawful processing

We process personal information on a lawful basis under applicable data-protection requirements.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

  • your consent, where consent is required;
  • taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement;
  • performing a contract or providing a service you have requested;
  • complying with a legal or regulatory obligation; or
  • another lawful basis available under applicable law.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing carried out lawfully before the withdrawal.

For the UAE PDPL, Article 4 establishes consent as the general starting point while identifying circumstances in which processing may lawfully occur without consent, including contract-related processing, legal obligations and certain other specified circumstances.

5. How we share personal information

We may share personal information where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice.

This may include sharing information with:

  • technology and website service providers;

  • analytics providers, where used;
  • professional advisers;
  • legal, regulatory or governmental authorities where required or permitted by law; and
  • other service providers acting on our behalf and subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

Where a third party processes personal information on our behalf, we take appropriate steps to require that information to be handled securely and only for authorized purposes.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information for commercial gain.

6. International processing and transfers

Some of our technology or service providers may process personal information in countries outside the UAE.

This website and our business email are hosted by Hostinger, acting as a processor on our behalf and subject to confidentiality and data-protection obligations. The hosting server is located in a data centre in the Netherlands, within the European Economic Area. Information you submit through this website, and the technical information recorded in our server logs, is therefore stored and processed in the EEA under European data-protection standards.

Where personal information is transferred or made accessible internationally, we will apply the safeguards and requirements required under applicable data-protection law.

Where the UAE PDPL applies, cross-border transfers are subject to the requirements in Articles 22 and 23, including applicable safeguards for transfers to jurisdictions without an adequate level of protection.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

This site uses no cookies. We do not set cookies, use local or session storage, or deploy analytics, advertising or other tracking technologies. No cookie consent is required to use this website.

Should this change, this Privacy Notice will be updated before any such technology is deployed. Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, those technologies would only be activated after the relevant choice or consent has been obtained.

8. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, taking into account our legal, regulatory, contractual, accounting and professional obligations.

For example, general website inquiries that do not result in a business relationship may normally be retained for a limited period after the inquiry has been resolved.

Records relating to engagements, proposals, contracts, invoices or other business activities may need to be retained for longer periods where required for legitimate business, legal, accounting, regulatory or dispute-resolution purposes.

When personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it, anonymize it or otherwise securely dispose of it, subject to applicable retention obligations.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information we hold to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

No method of transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, while we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us through the internet.

  • request access to personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • request deletion of personal data in circumstances where there is a lawful basis to do so;
  • request restriction or cessation of certain processing;
  • object to certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
  • request portability of personal data where the applicable legal requirements for portability are met.

The UAE PDPL expressly provides data-subject rights including receiving information about processing, data portability, correction and erasure, and restrictions or objections to certain processing.
